Role Overview
As a Graduate Accountant, you will join a structured three-year programme designed to equip you with both the technical knowledge and client-facing skills needed to qualify as an ACA Chartered Accountant.
You will rotate across key areas including audit, financial reporting, and advisory projects. From early on, you will take on meaningful responsibility, supporting audits, preparing financial statements, and assisting clients with compliance and reporting. Throughout your training, you will receive full ACA sponsorship and dedicated study leave.
Most graduates qualify within three years and progress into roles such as Senior Accountant, Audit Associate, or Finance Business Partner.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in preparing draft financial statements and supporting statutory audits
• Perform reconciliations, variance analysis, and assist with month-end processes
• Work with advisory teams on tax, compliance, and business support assignments
• Research accounting standards and apply them to client scenarios
• Attend client meetings, contribute to reports, and provide accurate financial insights
• Ensure work complies with UK accounting standards and professional ethical requirements
Who We’re Looking For
Essential
• Strong academic background, ideally with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or similar
• Excellent analytical ability and strong attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of AML frameworks and UK financial regulations (CPD-recognised learning accepted)
• Commitment to pursuing qualification as a Chartered Accountant (ACA)
Desirable
• Internship or experience in accounting, audit, or finance
• Familiarity with accounting or ERP software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP
• Evidence of leadership, teamwork, or extracurricular involvement
