As part of ongoing national expansion, we are hiring a Graduate Data Analyst (Finance Focus) to join the Analytics & Reporting division. This role is central to enhancing the firm’s data capabilities and supporting insight-driven business decisions.
Although this is primarily a data-focused position, the firm also offers strong development opportunities for those wishing to build financial expertise. For graduates interested in progressing toward roles in quantitative finance, risk, or investment analysis, the organisation provides sponsorship for the CFA qualification, including study support.
Role Overview
As a Graduate Data Analyst (Finance Focus), you will work within the Analytics & Reporting team and collaborate with stakeholders across finance, operations, risk, and client-facing functions. You will contribute to the development of data solutions, financial analytics, dashboards, and automated reporting processes that support strategic planning and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Write, optimise, and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract and transform data from various relational and cloud-based sources
• Build dashboards and visual reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Conduct statistical analysis, forecasting, and trend identification using Python or R
• Work with finance and risk teams to design KPIs, metrics, and financial reporting frameworks
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial variance analyses
• Support data governance activities including validation, lineage, and GDPR-related responsibilities
• Automate reporting workflows and pipelines using tools such as Airflow, dbt, or scripting
• Present insights and recommendations to senior managers and cross-functional teams
Who We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or similar field
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
• Working knowledge of SQL, including writing and optimising queries
• Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, data models, and lookups
• Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation and basic modelling
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify technical insights for non-technical audiences
• Highly driven, adaptive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of key regulatory frameworks including FCA rules and GDPR
Desirable / Nice-to-Have
• Experience with machine learning, predictive analytics, or time series modelling
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, or FP&A concepts
• Prior experience or internship in financial services, analytics, consulting, or data-focused roles
Induction & Training Period
All graduates will complete a structured induction including:
• Training on internal systems, reporting environments, and analytics tools
• Familiarisation with financial workflows and compliance expectations
• Best practices for data governance, privacy, and security
• Shadowing senior analysts and receiving hands-on coaching on live tasks

• Reduction of manual reporting through automation initiatives
• Stakeholder adoption of dashboards and analytics tools

Work Locations & Flexibility
While London serves as the main office, you may collaborate with or travel to regional hubs including Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, and Edinburgh. Remote working is available 2–3 days per week depending on team needs.
