Role Overview
The Graduate ESG Investment Analyst role is ideal for graduates who want to combine financial analysis with sustainability research. You will assess environmental, social, and governance factors across sectors and companies, contributing analysis that shapes investment decisions, portfolio construction, and client reporting.

You’ll work with both financial data and sustainability metrics, including carbon emissions, diversity indicators, supply chain risks, and governance quality. Over time, you will support engagement with companies on ESG topics and contribute to responsible investment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct ESG research on companies, industries, and global themes to identify material sustainability risks and opportunities
• Support the integration of ESG insights into valuation models, financial forecasts, and investment screens
• Analyse ESG datasets using platforms such as MSCI, Sustainalytics, Refinitiv, and Bloomberg ESG
• Assist with portfolio monitoring, including identifying high-risk holdings and positive impact contributors
• Prepare ESG reports, client presentations, and sustainability briefing documents
• Support engagement with company management teams regarding ESG disclosures, policies, and strategy
• Stay current with evolving ESG regulations and frameworks, including SFDR, TCFD, and EU Taxonomy requirements

About You
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline
• Strong interest in sustainable finance, responsible investment, and global ESG standards
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret detailed datasets
• Familiarity with ESG data providers or sustainability ratings is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, able to present ESG issues to internal and external stakeholders
• Motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple research tasks at once
• An ESG-focused investment certification (minimum Level 4), verified through accredited bodies, is required for this role
