Role Overview
The Graduate Financial Analyst role is ideal for ambitious graduates with a strong interest in financial markets, valuation, and corporate strategy. You will support investment-related decisions across equities, fixed income, and alternative assets, producing analysis that informs portfolio managers and investment committees.
You will also gain international exposure through short project travel to European financial hubs (e.g., Frankfurt, Paris, Luxembourg) and collaboration with global teams across North America and Asia.
Key Responsibilities
• Build, update, and maintain financial models (DCF, scenario modelling, comparative analysis)
• Review financial statements, conduct sector research, and monitor macroeconomic trends
• Analyse portfolio performance using metrics such as IRR, risk-adjusted returns, and volatility measures
• Produce written research, investment briefs, and presentations for internal and client-facing use
• Support due diligence work for transactions and strategic investment projects
• Source and interpret market data from Bloomberg and other financial databases
• Work collaboratively with compliance and risk teams to ensure ongoing adherence to UK regulatory standards
• Participate in meetings with clients, stakeholders, and international teams, with occasional travel required
About You
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or another quantitative field
• Strong understanding of valuation methods, financial modelling, and risk concepts
• Highly proficient in Excel; familiarity with Python, VBA, or similar tools is advantageous
• Comfort working with financial data platforms such as Bloomberg or Refinitiv
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, analytical environment
• Demonstrable knowledge of UK financial regulation supported by accredited compliance learning
