About the Role
This opportunity is with a major UK investment banking organisation offering direct exposure to capital markets, M&A, structured finance, and advisory services. As a Graduate Investment Banker, you will support senior bankers on live transactions across equity, debt, and alternative assets.

A key part of the role involves interpreting real-time market data, conducting valuation work, and producing analytical outputs for client presentations and deal execution. Bloomberg Terminal fluency is a significant advantage, as it enables faster, more accurate analysis and contributes directly to deal readiness.

Your first three months will include a structured immersion programme with modelling workshops, valuation training, market simulations, and hands-on deal shadowing.

Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain integrated financial models to support valuations, forecasting, and deal structuring
• Assist in M&A execution, capital raising, and strategic advisory assignments
• Conduct sector, market, and competitor research using real-time financial data
• Prepare pitch books, investor materials, and due diligence documentation
• Support senior bankers in client meetings, calls, and presentations
• Coordinate with compliance, legal, and risk teams to ensure regulatory compliance

About You
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related analytical discipline
• Strong numerical and analytical ability with excellent attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort handling complex datasets

Bloomberg Terminal Experience (Highly Advantageous)
• Bloomberg Terminal experience is a major advantage and strongly valued
• Ability to navigate core functions such as FA, EVTS, WEI, and BETA
• Experience extracting financial statements, market data, and economic indicators
• Familiarity with EQS (Equity Screening) for filtering companies based on key metrics
• Ability to monitor real-time news, sector movements, and macroeconomic developments
• Understanding of Bloomberg analytics tools for equity, credit, and fixed-income analysis
• Experience using Bloomberg for valuations, comparable analysis, and peer benchmarking
• Ability to pull historical data series for modelling and forecasting
• Comfortable exporting Bloomberg data to Excel for analytical and modelling use
• Ability to use Bloomberg shortcuts and functions efficiently under time-sensitive conditions

Additional Requirements
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a professional client-facing approach
• Expected to be working towards becoming a certified Investment Advisor within UK CPD standards
