Role Overview.
This graduate-level role has a strong emphasis on both analysis and client engagement. From the outset, you will support senior investment managers in client meetings, portfolio reviews, and the creation of tailored investment proposals.
You will work with various asset classes, wealth strategies, and long-term financial objectives ranging from private client wealth planning to corporate investment solutions.
The role is structured to accelerate your development, blending technical training with practical advisory exposure. Graduates who perform well typically progress to Associate Investment Manager in 24 months.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist senior investment managers in developing and presenting customised investment recommendations.
• Analyse client portfolios, track performance, and prepare advisory reports.
• Conduct market research across asset classes, investment products, and economic indicators.
• Ensure all advisory activities comply with FCA regulations and RDR Retail Distribution Review requirements.
• Prepare documentation and materials for client review meetings, attend sessions, and support follow-up actions.
• Build strong technical and interpersonal skills required to manage long-term client relationships.
About You.
Essential Requirements:
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong interest in wealth management, financial advisory, and long-term investment planning.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Must meet RDR Retail Distribution Review qualification requirements or be actively working toward an RDR-compliant accreditation.
• Confident, driven and able to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
Desirable Extras:
• Internship in or exposure to investment management, private banking, or advisory environments.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg terminals and/or Bloomberg Market Concepts certification.
• Interest in completing the CFA qualification or similar professional pathways.
