This opportunity is with a well-established insurance and risk management organisation offering comprehensive services across underwriting, actuarial support, claims analytics, and risk evaluation. Due to ongoing growth, the firm is expanding its London-based analytics and reporting team and is seeking an ambitious individual to join them.

The role is ideal for graduates or early-career professionals who want to develop within insurance analytics, risk modelling, or actuarial pathways. You will work closely with experienced analysts and actuarial specialists, gaining exposure to insurance modelling techniques, regulatory frameworks, and large-scale portfolio analytics.

Role Overview
As an Insurance Analyst, you will provide analytical support to underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams. Your role will involve interpreting insurance data, assessing risk profiles, monitoring performance metrics, and producing actionable insights for senior stakeholders. You will play a key part in informing underwriting decisions, pricing strategies, and risk management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyse claims data, underwriting information, and exposure metrics to identify performance trends
• Build and maintain models used for pricing, reserving, and risk assessment
• Create dashboards, reports, and presentations for operational and senior management teams
• Support actuarial teams with data validation, scenario testing, and statistical modelling
• Assist with regulatory submissions and ensure work aligns with industry regulatory standards
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and risk teams to streamline processes and enhance decision-making

About You
• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or another quantitative discipline
• Strong analytical and numerical capability with excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical tools
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
• Able to work under pressure while managing competing deadlines
• Understanding of the PRA’s prudential requirements and the FCA’s regulatory expectations within the insurance sector is essential
• Motivated to build a long-term career in insurance analytics, risk management, or actuarial services
