This opportunity is with a growing investment and financial advisory organisation that supports institutional investors, private clients, and corporate partners. The firm specialises in portfolio analytics, investment strategy, and financial performance reporting. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a highly analytical Junior Financial Analyst (Investments) to join their finance and investment analytics team.

This role is ideal for candidates with a strong numerical background who are keen to build expertise in financial modelling, investment research, and data-driven decision-making. Role Overview
As a Junior Financial Analyst (Investments), you will work closely with senior analysts, portfolio managers, and financial strategists. You will be involved in building financial models, evaluating investment performance, and supporting forecasting and reporting activities that directly influence strategic decisions.

The role offers broad exposure across investment analysis, reporting, and regulatory compliance, providing a strong foundation for long-term progression in finance or investment roles.

Key Responsibilities
• Build, update, and maintain financial models used for forecasting, valuation, scenario testing, and investment analysis
• Gather, clean, and analyse financial, market, and macroeconomic data from multiple sources
• Support portfolio and fund performance reporting, including KPI tracking, benchmark comparisons, and attribution analysis
• Conduct variance, sensitivity, and trend analysis to support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Create data visualisations, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders and clients
• Assist in risk assessments, compliance reporting, and documentation aligned with FCA guidelines
• Support investment research activities, preparing summaries on sectors, industries, and economic trends
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve data accuracy, reporting processes, and modelling efficiency

About You
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or another numerate discipline preferred (highly numerate non-finance graduates will also be considered)
• Strong analytical and quantitative ability
• Advanced Excel skills with knowledge of modelling logic and financial formulas
• Familiarity with data tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Python) is advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, analytical environment
• Solid understanding of FCA and PRA regulatory expectations within financial services
• Keen interest in investment strategy, markets, and financial analysis
